Got my pump fixed and freed up, but because of the tight fit before, the starter flatened all the fly wheel teeth on the tips.most of the tooth is still there it is just the tips.
So should I go through all that work again and put in a new flywheel or is there a way to shim it in towards the flywheel or maybe a new sprocket on the starter slightly bigger???? etc.

If their's shims under the starter you could try removing them. Don't know how bad the flywheel looks. Got a pic?
