So I just got a quote to redo the stereo in the boat, 4-12" JL3 Subs, Autotek 1000.1 sub amp, 2 100.4 Autotek and 8 Memphis 6 1/2" Coax's... all for a sleek $3500... is that a good deal, or getting bent?? If anyone has websites for prices, please help....

Deal with Frank he's the G.M. and a very fair guy he's done alot of work on my stereo in my boat. I personally would'nt recommend anybody but him in Havi. to work on a boat sound system they stand behind there work 100% is that enough .........Enjoy........Derek

The guy has to make a profit too...I've only heard positive things as well.

they've done our stereos for years and while they are not cheap to deal with,
and they do make a profit--I've also seen them laying in the bottom of the boat in the channel on a busy weekend replacing someones amp in 120 degree
heat! I have to say that is impressive.

Kar Toyz is the only place to go in town. Awsome work and they do back up their work. If anyone is looking for a Magic or Sleek Boat let me know. I just started here at Power Marine and am looking for some new clients. We put an incredible JL Audio Monster sytem as an option in our boats that's only $3695, all Jl Audio. See Ya all on the water!!!!

I did the stereo myself before, and honestly my time is just not worth the headache... I've heard nothing but good about them, I just wanted to see if the price was in the ball park, as far as materials to labor ratio. All the wiring is there, just a matter of making it clean and tuning it to sound good.
My last boat was a do-it-myselfer, but I am trying to keep this one away from electrical tape and bubble gum....
Hey Keith, this system is going on the Ilmor Advantage PC that Kevin put together...

    ME4DRVR,
THE MEMPHIS STUFF IS VERY GOOD. I DO NOT KNOW WHY THEY ARE GOING TO USE AUTOTEK BUT IF I WAS GOING TO PUT THE STEREO IN I WOULD USE ALL MEMPHIS OR ARC AUDIO BECAUSE IT IS BETTER THAN THAT AUTOTEK. IF WE WERE GONING TO PUT THIS IN YOU WOULD BE AROUND THE SAME PRICE GIVE ME A CALL SO I CAN PRICE IT FOR YOU. THANKS PAUL 760-948-4444

Thanks Paul, but the boat is already in Havi and it sounds like the price is in the Ball Park, from what they said, they have had good experience with the amps in the heat and the environment...
