I have a 22 ft Scarab and I need to do some touch up work beneath the hull on the V portion. I suppose it is just wear and tear from beaching the boat over the years. The V portion of the boat is spposed to be white but now is stratching to black. Is there a gel coat product that you can just brush on or should it be done professionally? Any advise would be great!

Take it someplace and have it repaired right. Try Quality Boat Repair in Riverside. They do great work and there not too far from you.

Do you get the same wear and tear underneath your boats too? This is my 1st boat and it drives me crazy to see.

I purchased the boat this way. It's not bad but still want to fix it. But I noticed that everyone at the river beaches their boats in the channel even teh 36 footers do?

    What he said.
I just have learned to live with it on my boat. But it is hard to look at scratches on the new boat. I'll just get it fixed when it starts to look real bad. Get it fixed and either don't beach your boat or just be careful and find nice sandy spot's to beach it on.

Toddnjuzz on the boards. You won't find better work. I haven't seen anybody cheaper either. Even if he charged as much as everyone else, he'd be the man to see.

Just curious...what's a ball park figure to have the bottom of a 21ft. boat redone? I know it all depends but I just want an idea...rough guess.
