I dont know yet. This was the owners first real time out. It is definatly a drivers boat and he is taking it easy for a while. We did run 70mph on the Gaffrig at 4500rpm with the drive tucked all the way in and tabs down a little. I know 80+ is in her. The acceleration is awesome.
Deez, Thanks for the pics'. The boat ran 82-MPH fresh out of the box with a skilled driver when it left the Sarasota factory. Only three were produced, #1 is in Canada, #2 is in the NorthEast with a blower and runs in the 90+ MPH range. This is #3, the only one done in black, first two were blue. I have descent experience driving Donzi Classics and this boat makes me feel like a novice.

Deep V , love those 22's myself. Where's the #1 in canada? Here's a shot of my buddy's [big sis to yours ]http://www3.telus.net/spectrasonly/donzi1.jpg
Not 100% sure where #1 ended up. It was used by the factory for the dealer show and some photo shoots and then sat at the factory for a while unsold. A friend tried to buy it but Donzi would not budge on the price. Then it just disappeared and no one has seen it since. Someone at the factory did tell me though that it sold in Canada. These boats never sold due to the astronomical asking price, suggested retail on my boat with options was $91,470 w/o a trailer. Powerboat Mag. did a review back in 2002 and beat up the boat for having too much power.

DeepVee, thanks for the article. I've seen a super clean 22 in seattle with a 502 .They were asking 27K for it and sold in a few months. They claimed 70+ speeds . Does your boat chinewalk at those speeds?
No chinewalk so far. The 22's seem very stable. There are several 22's around with blowers running in the 90-MPH range with no severe handling problems. The 502 and newer 496-MAGHO boats will easially break 70.
80 is pretty fast for only 500hp.
