I have a 500 EFI and am thinkin about putting on a blower at the end of the summer BUT reliability will be a major factor in my decision. Anybody help me out with ideas?

the hp500 efi whipple kit kicks ass, we have installed a bunch up here.
The reliability issue isnt an issue when done right.

How many hours since the Whipple. I put 160+ hrs on my boat last year. Another 40hrs since April. If I do one this winter should I freshen up the motor. Will they live at 4500+ rpm's for 30min. at a time. I also would like to use the 3.3 on my HP500EFI.
    Thanks, Mike

The blower can handle it.. I would never need to run my motor that hot for 1/2hr.. If Im running 4500rpm.. Im running 90..
But I imagine it would be fine..

not that I will make a habit out of it but I ran my whipple for 35-40 min in the last poker run and stayed between 4500-6000. And that was only the first leg of 5 stops for the day. only slowed down cause I burned all my fuel in that time. The whipples loved it. I swear there was ice above the throttle bodies.
Way to cool and too much fun, but definately not needed.
Youll find yourself running at lower rpms with the S.C. due to more power and a bigger prop.
