Is This A Good Deal?

Have a couple of jetboats but want to step up to something bigger. This boat has a brand new blown 510 bbc (800 hp).
98 Warlock 28' for $45,000. Is it a good deal.

Are you in jet boats with semi-v's or pure flatties?
Here's the big question ---- Have you driven a cat before? If not, you need to drive one for a decent period of time (not just out around a bouy and back)before you make any decisions to purchase one. My point is, some love the way they turn, handle, get on plane, etc.....some don't think it feels right. It's definitely a different ride than any jet boat will give. I like it, but couldn't find the right one in the right price range...so I got a tunnel.
40-45K is a decent deal...depends what it REALLY looks like in person.

thanks for the input, have driven many boats over the years. currently 21' raysoncraft & a 21' rogers. started with flats switched as the family grew. have driven a few friends tunnels over the years. mostly trying to decide if this is a good deal.

Obviously depends on condition and hours on the equipment but the deal seems decent. I think if you are open to different manufacturers and have a little time you may be able to find something a little newer for about the same price.

I think thats a great deal, but better have a compression check on the engine to make sure the power is there, and not on it last leg of water! Rebuild - $5000.00 +
