how can i decrease the water pressure on a bearkley 12jg pump.right now i have a guage hooked up and at full throtle it pumps over 65 pounds.

1) Are you referring to pump bowl pressure, and
2) If you are, why would you want to "decrease" it???

Duanne at HTP has a valve that will fix that problem. If you are talking about water line presure. I have heard that that water presure can be as high as 250lbs. And that is way tooo high. In a car the radiator has a 12 - 24 psi cap. It is amazing the amount of people that will disagree with you on this matter but Duanne has heard the few and has made a valve that will fix this problem for us. Duanne posts here reguarly so direct this to him.

I use a pressure reducing valve from grainger. I had to remove the screen trap from the valve because it was too fine but it seems to work great now. Its a Watts, p/n N35BU which is a Grainger p/n 6LM11. Its a 1 inch outside thread but the inside it threaded 3/4NPT. also shown is a raw water strainer.
