Transome Exhaust

I bought a set of bassett water injected headers, thru transome.. They have 4 inch collectors. I have some room for mufflers. Could I weld a set of burns stainless baffles to a stainless TT exhaust tip? would the light weight mufflers be strong enough? I would still use an exhaust hose to connect. Second, Do I need an exhaust flapper? The application is a 19ft picklefork jet. This a blown 572, will flappers stand up to the heat and pressure?
