Thread: soft spot on floor.

    one of my buddies just bought a 74 tahiti for 400 bucks .its got a soft spot in the middle of the floor.what would be the best fix.just lay a piece of ply wood over it and glass that in or is it hard to cut out the floor and replace it.thanks

    I would do it right, cut the floor and look for other problems then replace it:yuk:
    I just did my complete sub floor

    You can cut out only the damaged area and replace it then re-glass it. But you might as well do the whole thing once. Or you can keep replacing wood, and glass until you have the whole thing replaced anyway.

    Like I said and was mentioned in the previous post. Do it now or do it later. We wanted to make sure it was fixed correctly and safely
