Salt water is faster due to the buoyancy over fresh water, at least according to people I know who have run in both.
Knowing that salt water is more dense than fresh water. Does a jet boat lose RPM and speed when run in salt water.

INTERESTING, I NEVER THOUGHT OF SALT WATER AS BEING FASTER THAN FRESH. I BETTER STAY RUNNING IN SALT, IF I GO TO FRESH WATER I WILL HAVE TO CONVINCE MY WIFE THAT I NEED TO SPEND EVEN MORE FOR PERFORMANCE UPGRADES! WELL THERE GOES THE KIDS NEW CLOTHES FOR THE SUMMER...JUST KIDDING...BILL.
