I have a balanced and blue printed blown 454 thats gotta go with only a few hours on it. It has an 8/71 mooneyham blower with dual 850 carbs, dooley scoop, stainless fuel lines and throttle linkage, 8mm pulleys setup for 12lbs boost weiand intake. .30 over 454 block with a standard GM steel crank, double keyed with a blower hub, clevite H bearings, LS7 dot rods with 7/16 arp bolts, TRW blower pistons with a comp ratio at 8.5to1, solid roller engle cam with roller rockers and stud girdles, double roller timing chain, ported and polished gm 291 square port heads, same as 990's but not prone to cracking, flexplate, msd dist and wires, arp studs and bolts throughout and you can have it with jet or v drive pan and timing cover. Your right, i just pulled the valve cover and they are 291 square port hi perf. heads.

The 291's are not the same as the 990's. They are closed chamber heads where as the 990's are open chambers. Early 291 heads (69 & 70) are valuable to ls6 guys.
