I have been very critical of Blown over the years related to his lack of philosophy and I won't beat a dead horse even more but it is enough said that he really does not believe in any political code. Or at least maybe some sort of anarchy at best............ maybe who knows but blown he won't say.
Now related to a third party in America......what a ill concieved idea that is. The founding fathers visioned for our future a two party system because it is the most likely to achieve positive direction on any political issue compated to a multiple party system. Lokk, the founding fathers new that although the issues facing this country would have many asspects to consider that it would be easier to debate, decent, analyse, and propose two seperate plans on any one issue from basically just two groups. Yeng and the yang, black and white, conservative v. liberal, right or wrong. In the beginning there were many factions in the government politically. Survival of the fittest set in and two parties have emerged as a result becuse in our country every body has basically fell in to camps. Demorats and Republicans.
Each party attracts fringes in the country to its side that most likely think or feel like the majority in that party. Thus making it easier for voters to select a government. It is easier to select a government that includes a wide range of views like yours ....demorat or Republican!
Case in point as a matter of example. When you go into the privacy of the voters booth and you vote for President,(Govenor, Senators and other legislators) you probably make those decisions really fast as for the most part you know that the candidate you are selecting on most issues that are impotant to you agrees with you by way of what the one of two parties think per their platform. But when it is time for you to select a school board person or a judge there could be 15 names from you to choose from and you say to youself "Hell I don't any of theses people and what they each stand for!". Then you usually vite for the encumbent or a name you have heard before. Some people won't vote for womwn judges not because they know so much about them but rather they know so little.
The two party system provides the most stability for government. Just look at Parlimentary systems else where they have many factions and those countries direction is usually as different as often as they change parties in power which is far more freguent than us.
The last time this country had multiple parties we had a civil war and near anarchy. If the two party was so great and produced results they would be thrieving here in America. The green peace, peta, Rainbow coaltions, of the demorat party has done more to hurt their own party. Look what multiple parties with in the demorats has done to it. Bill Clinton aside they have been getting their collective asses kicked in the voting booths. Howwver the Republicans have kicked ass because they only recruit like minded people on their side that agree on most issues and they have been able to attract more voters to their side. They exclude fringe groups.
Do you really want a fringe candidate a sinle issue candidate winning the White House or do you want a candidate thate represents a broad base that is beholding to that base for his continued election/selection?
Think about the numbers. Only 60 million Americans vote. Just 20%! So when Jon Kerry says have the country voted for him thats bullshit. Only 1 out of 2 Americans voted for him. Same for GW. Now imagine three other parties like one from the gay movement, one from green peace, and one from the Christian Right. Lets say now there are now five people running for President it would be possible that all had pretty much the same influence over there voters. Somebody that could win just 12 million votes plus one is the President. Or just 4% of the population would get their guy elected to lead the other 96% of us.
No boys and girls the third party system soumds great but in reality it is very stupid idea. It is an idea that has good intentions but woud have the exact opposite effect. Good intentions don't mean shit. And by the way most multiple party systems tend to be socialist.

Lemme see, the current two party system that if I recall was set up "by the people for the people" is flawed and corrupt. Since you are so well rounded perhaps you could tell me how to fix the skool system, you know the one that has no money but yet our taxes are going some where, and how would you fix the infrustucture?? There again our billions of dollars of taxes going some where but not fixing what is broken here.

Congratulations blown! It has only taken me three years to have a real conversation of ideas with you but it is a start. The answer to your question is simple but not easy. The solutions will change the status quo so severely that it will hurt and traumatize liberals and even the vast majority of the so called conservatives.
Lets deal with the schools first. The essential ingredient to any successful endeavor is the influence of competition! Competition motivates all competitors to be the best they can be or they fail. It is a truism of nature adapt, perform, succeed or die. In America we have removed the spirit of competition from our educational system on the teaching side and it shows! Today regardless of the teachers performance in the classroom, in spite of the fact that you might have the lowest graduating percentage of students than the majority of other teachers your job is safe and you are paid the same as a real successful teacher! What bullshit! Most of you know that the real world doesnt work well under that system. I say competition if introduced into the teachers comp plan would provide us where the good teacher gets paid more and advances up through the pay scale quicker than the teacher that cant achieve. Dont base it on graduation rates as graduation only would encourage the slacker teachers to cheat and promote students to the next level whether the student deserved it or not. Nope, base the teachers evaluation solely on the students year end test scores to determine which teacher is really teaching the most and the best. Also here is a rare thought. Let the parents decide who teaches their kids! Parents could and would select the best teacher for their kid. Pay the teacher also based on class size. The great teachers with great reputations in their community would have the most customers

I absolutely guaranty you competition for pay increases based on performance and bonuses for volume of students
these ideas alone would significantly change and enhance how schools perform. Now also apply that to the administration like principals ECT. Suddenly principals would be recruiting and hiring the absolute best teachers they could hire for their school BECAUSE their pay would be enhanced by having increased graduatution rates and test scores. Abolish the union sucking NEA and also apply competition to school vouchers. Let parents DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES which school is best for their kids.
When competition is removed from any endeavor it almost always fails. It is Darwinism! Compete or die. Our schools have died the libs just wont admit it. And when the hell did it become the responsibility of the government to educate our children. What the hell does the government do so well, out side of the military, that would make any of us believe that the government education would produce the best school system?
Americans please stand up on your own two feet take back the responsibility of your kids education which the vast majority of us have abdicated to the government.
