They may be overloaded. My last Trail-Rite had axles that you could see were bowed (they were too small for the weight to begin with).
5,200 lb axles with disc brakes are only around $300 each. Cheap insurance.
I have a tandem axle trailer. Tires are on the 3rd season and I tow alot. All four tires are wearing heavily on the inner edge. I went to Bear Trailers and they think the axles are bent. The trailer is about 6 years old so I guess with the weight of the boat, the fine condition of CA highways, and an occasion "over the curb" , they could be bent.
Any thoughts?
