Mortec.com states 454 78-90, 2 or 4 bolt for this year,(you'll have to pull the pan)
I have one, 2 bolt now a 439 bbc. Got mine out of a 81 pu
Most likely NOT a ls6, look at the head numbers as well under valve cover, You can also look at end of head to identify rec. or oval port.

Its def. 4 bolt so what hp is it?? does that depend on the heads, the casting number on the heads are 6272990 the block and heads say hi perf.
Ok after researching this I have a 454 truck engine with replacement heads

the 4 bolt will have 3/4 plug and two bolt will be smaller.

Like "biesemeyer" said---you have to take the pan off..mine has the small plug....Steve
