Thread: 2500 HD spindle lift

  1. #1
    4day!!
Looking to do a 4" spindle lift on 2005 2500 hd 2x2. I am looking at the CST spindle lift. They have a cast and a fabricated spindle. Anybody have any advice between the two. It will not be off roaded. I would actually like a 6" lift but i want to keep running 33"s(i think a 6" looks funny with 33's) for towing/torque reasons (6.0L gasser). If anybody has pics of a 4" spindle lift i would like to see them. I am curious how much of a difference it makes. I have aftermarket keys on it already and it is sitting level. Would a 4" spindle lift give me another 2" or another 4" since my keys are turned up about 2" already. Looking to put these wheels on it with 295/75/16 BFG. Anybody have a hook up on the lift, wheels or a Diablo Predator Programmer near or in OC?

We'll he's not in the OC but Jason at Rancho Motorsports can take care of you on all your needs. He actually quoted the same spindle lift for Shipping guy once for me and the prices were very good. I think the cast spindle is plenty strong for your truck...if it was the heavier diesel I'd probably recomend the fabricated spindle.
As far as lift I believe the spindles will give you four inches of lift over a stock ride height. It would be a good idea IMO to use those and crank down the torsion bars for a better ride and less wear and tear on the front end.
Call Jason and see what he can do for you....might be worth the drive (909) 390-9722
I also don't think you'll have any problem fitting that tire. I ran 285/75R16's on my stock height 2500HD with the 6.0L gasser with a little trimming and maybe one crank of the T-bars.
Try looking at a 305/70ish tires for a fatter tire. The 295's are a little narrow looking in my opinion. Jason can tell you what works well with that lift.
    Good luck,
    Chris

You wont need to run the fabricated spindle with such a small tire. The cast one will be just fine. The guys adding spindles to 6-11" lifts and running 38-40+" tires are the ones that benefit from the fabricated spindles. Save the money on the cost difference between the two and put a nice shock on it. Fox has factory replacement shocks that ride really nice.
