Propshaft Material-Ti won't hold up, and it was probably Gun Drilled to death...RIP
It is solid and non-magnetic.
I am not sure exactly what this is made of. My best guess is Aluminum/Titanium. It is 33 3/4" long by 1 3/8". It was on the D'Cucci I tore up a few years ago. It is a little shinny like stainless, but it is very light weight. Anybody ever seen anything like this?

Stainless material is all Non-Magnetic.

Not so. Better get a metallurgy lesson from dad. Tell him I said hello.
Speaking if Casales, I gave this shaft to Tom Label at AME several years ago for his opinion and he took it to Andy. Andy said it had to be manufactured in a very large facility. I suspect it was Northrop Grumman El Segundo CA since the D'Cucci it came from was made when Don was still in Torrance. The drop thru strut is made from the same stuff.
Usually propshaft material is used because it comes the straightest from the factory. Other bars need to much machining or grinding to be as straight.
And it has to be Strong stuff!!!
I'm sorry about the metalurgy, I just know my magnets won't stick to stainless stuff!!!
Stainless material is all Non-Magnetic.
I beg to differ sir.
Young grasshopper you have much still to learn.....
wax on...wax off..sand the fence....paint the fence.....
Touch a grinder to the end if it gives off white sparks it is prolly 6AL4V
slightly magnetic could be 17-4

I think 6AL4V is the right on the money. The weight is right and it is not magnetic at all. Some research I have done says it is 50% stronger than Stainless. Anyway, one of the SS teams is buying up this and all the remaining parts. We will link up with them Saturday after Thanksgivings at Parker if anyone wants to se it. Thanks Schiada96
